Unearthing the Foos of Middle America

Egg thought this sculpture under the newest level of structures at Teotihuacan was really cool, and looked really foo-like.... She misses her big brother.

Mananita Foo

Once again, Egg goes straight to finding the foos at each restaurant she visits... This one is almost as pretty as her and the peacocks that roam the restaurant...

Scary Food, but Yummy

Egg was scared by the size of this fantastic dish at Hacienda Cortes. Called Molecajete, it's three types of meat with onions, cheese, beans, and nopal served in a giant mortar (molecajete).... It was too much food, but kinda Indiana Jones looking...

Egg-sized Taquitos

Egg just loved that this mini tacos were just her size! This restaurant is at the foot of the hill on which she is living in Cuernavaca. Que rico!!

Hacienda Egg-tes

Egg naturally found the Foo hidden in the garden of the Cortes plantation-turned-restaurant/hotel in Cuernavaca called Hacienda Cortes. Good eatin, and cool ambience.

Sushi in Mexico?

Although not eggsactly what Egg expected, she enjoyed the ambience of Mexican mall sushi for what it was...

He Sees Foo Baby...

Egg got to hang out with Papa Juan Pablo II. Apparently he's still quite a big deal at this Basilica where the Virgin de Guadelupe artifacts reside.

Calls it Like She Sees it

Egg really liked that this beer was called "Leon" because it was a nod to her cat-like qualities. The beer was okay too.

Casa Egg-zul

Egg tried to make friends with this frog in the pool at Casa Azul in Mexico City. She thought he might turn into a Mexican prince, but alas it was just art in the fountain at the Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera house/museum

Tree-ism

For some reason, in this part of Mexico, they paint the bases of all the trees along the road white. Maybe it's tree-ism. Egg was just making sure they were real trees she could climb...

Silver and Egg

Egg looks back on Taxco after shopping the silver side of Mexico. Sadly, she couldn't find any jewelry that fit her.

Egg-lesia

Egg thought she was even more imposing than this church in Taxco, the silver city. She also thought she was prettier.

Pool, Piscina, Alberca

Egg had a fabulous time at the pool that is on the property of the school in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She really wanted to dive into the pool, but she couldn't get up the courage, so she decided to just lay out and soak in the rays. She thinks she got a little red though. Need more sunscreen next time.

Esa es Una Cerveza Grande en Verdad

Egg found herself muy borracha after downing this liter beer (costing only about $2.50 US). Althought the glass has the right name, the beer was lovely: Modelo Chope. Muy oscura y un sabor muy interesante.

Cortes-y Dictates

Egg enjoyed her visit to Palacio de Cortes in the zocalo of Cuernavaca. The history was muy interesante, especially the murals de Diego Rivera.

Su Hermanos....?

Egg was thrilled to run into her long lost, golden brothers in this tienda pequena in Tepotzlan, Mexico. She didn't have enough pesos to break them out of the glass though. :(

Eggstreme Mountain Climbing

Egg was a big factor in encouraging Vicky to reach the top of the mountain in Tepotzlan, Mexico. They were rewarded with a fantastic view of the city and playtime around an ancient Aztec pyramid.

Egg-ita Bonita

Although the first picture's not so good, the food and the atmosphere were muy bueno. Egg loved the tamarindo chicken and Victoria beer.

Buenos Sueños

Egg settles in to "su habitacion" for the next month. She wrestled Vicky for the bed on the left because it's closer to the bathroom.

Rough Arrival en Mexico

Egg made it to Mexico without a crack, but her luggage did not fare so well. Delta was not so helpful, so she has to buy new luggage, but that's okay... es la vida...

Egg-citing Beginning

Eggscited to begin her adventures in Cuernavaca, Egg looked anxiously out the plane window before settling into her seat on the plane. She buckled up for safety because Egg's are fragile after all.
